European powers should not make strategic mistakes in the nuclear watchdog: Iranian Foreign Minister

Iran has warned European powers on Friday not to support a draft resolution in the International Atomic Energy Agency next week accused of non -compliance with Tehran. Iran has called it a “strategic mistake”.
Foreign Minister Abbas Iraqi pointed to Britain, France and Germany on X, saying, “Instead of acting in good faith, these three European countries (e -III) have chosen a blasphemous action against Iran in the IAEA’s Board of Governors. Write my words that Europe is a major violation of its rights.”
A diplomatic source told AFP that the warning of Iran’s top diplomat came when three European governments were preparing to support Washington in support of a condemnation resolution at the board meeting next week.
The source added that the resolution has accused Iran of failing to fulfill its nuclear responsibilities and if Tehran “does not show goodwill”, then threatens to approach the UN Security Council.
Iraqi said that Tehran has “shown good cooperation from the IAEA for years. It has resulted in a resolution that eliminated the blatant claims of” potential military use “of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.
Calling “poor and political reporting”, he added, “My country has once again been accused of ‘non -compliance’.”
The criticism came after a quarterly IAEA report last week citing Iran’s “lack of cooperation” and expressed concern over unannounced nuclear material.
Tehran rejected the political motivations as the main reason for this report and termed it based on the “fake documents” provided by Israel’s toughest enemy, Israel.
The pressure on Iran has come from April 12 during an indirect negotiation with the United States in Oman’s mediation, which is underway to finalize a new nuclear deal between two long -time enemies.
In a post on his Truth social network on Monday, President Donald Trump said, “The United States will not allow Iran to enrich uranium”.
Britain, France and Germany – all parties to the 2015 agreement are considering whether to “re -enforce” sanctions under UN disputes methodology – this option ending on the 10th anniversary of the deal in October.
