Operation Spider Web War between Russia and Ukraine

Operation Spider Web. What lessons can India and other countries learn from Ukraine’s extraordinary attack?
On June 1, 2025, more than 100 Ukrainian drones invaded air bases in Russia and targeted Russian bomber planes capable of carrying long -range missiles and nuclear weapons.
According to information provided by the media by the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Agency, SBU, drones were smuggled by Russia through trucks hidden in wooden cabins.
From here, the trucks were taken to the airport, whose drivers probably did not know the reality of the goods in the trucks. The drones were launched near the Russian Air Force bases and sent to the targets.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelannsky, who oversees the operation, said on social media that 117 drones were used in the ‘bold’ attack, which took ‘one year, six months and nine days’.
In fact, this is the second time in recent times that the two countries are talking about the use of drones in conflict or war. Earlier, there was considerable debate about ‘drone war’ during the dispute between India and Pakistan.
