Israel claims to return the body of a Thai prisoner from Gaza in a special operation

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz has said in a statement that the Israeli army has conducted a successful special operation to return the body of a foreign prisoner captured by Hamas in the October 2023 attack.

The foreign detainee is said to be from Thailand and has been identified as Nita Pong Panta.

In a statement to AFP on Saturday, Israel Katz asserted “that his government will not rest until the repatriation of the bodies of all living and dead prisoners in October 2023.”

“Captivity and Murder”

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office also claimed a similar “success” in which the body of a Thai prisoner recovered after a special operation in the Gaza Strip. According to the statement, Thai prisoner Nita Pongpanta was taken prisoner by Nir Oz and was “executed by an organization called Kataib al-Mujahideen along with several other prisoners.”
