SUBJECT: DISCRETION OF ISLAMIC LITERATURE AND HOLY OURAN VERSION IN SCHOOLS (CHIEF SECRETARY TASK ID 9401
Kindly refer to the Chief Secretary Task ID 940 dated 17-12-2021 regarding subject matter.
2. As we all know that the immense respect is attached with the Holy Quran and Islamic literature, which demands to be treated with utmost care while ensuring its sanctity. It is accordingly required that Holy Quran / Islamic literature should properly be maintained / kept at safe place after its use/teaching in schools.
3. You are, therefore, requested to pass on necessary instructions to all heads of schools (public/private) to ensure strictest measures for safe handling of Islamic literature and Holy Quran during teaching in schools and should be kept at a clean place after its use. Further, a worn-out copy of the Quran/Islamic literature, with broken binding or missing pages, should not be disposed of as ordinary household trash.
