Urgent Notice for Private School Registration, Academy Mapping & Building Fitness Certificates

The Chief Executive Officer District Education Authority (DEA) Vehari has issued an important notification directing the registration of all unregistered privately managed schools across the district. The order also includes the mapping of formal academies and obtaining Building Fitness Certificates from the Communication & Works (C&W) Department.

According to the notification, the One-Window Registration Operation will continue from July 4 to July 10, 2026, after which unregistered private schools may face legal action, including sealing of their premises.

3. OBTAINING BUILDING FITNESS CERTIFICATES FROM COMMUNICATION & WORKS (C&W) DEPARTMENT, GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB.
With reference to the subject cited above.

In pursuance of the directions issued during the Zoom Meeting chaired by the Secretary, School Education Department, Government of the Punjab, held on 03-07-2026, and in view of the recent unfortunate incidents of building collapse at “Kahna” and “Baghbanpura, Lahore” (resulting in deaths and injuries of students and teacher), as well as the tragic incident reported in “Dera Ghazi Khan”, you are hereby directed to ensure immediate implementation of the following instructions in true letter and spirit to safeguard the lives of students, teachers and staff:

1. Registration of Unregistered Private Schools

All unregistered private schools operating within District Vehari shall be directed to attend the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (DEA), Vehari during the One-Window Registration Operation w.e.f Saturday 04th July 2026 to Friday 10th July 2026, for completion of their registration process. (Check list attached).

It shall be conveyed to all concerned that this is the final opportunity for registration. After the expiry of the above-mentioned period, any private school found operating without registration shall be “SEALED” forthwith in accordance with law/policy and directions of the competent authority.

2. Mapping of Formal Academies

A comprehensive mapping of all commercial and purpose-built formal academies operating in District Vehari shall be carried out. The following information must be collected through survey by the Assistant Education Officers (M) District Vehari within 05 days positively and submit to this office for onward submission to the higher authorities:

Remarks

Note:
It is clarified that home-based tuition centers or academies being run by any person in his/her residence/house are not included in the mapping and they may not be disturbed.
