A newly-wed bride has been arrested for brutally murdering her husband during their honeymoon in the northeastern Indian state of Meghalaya. Police say 25-year-old Sonam hired hitmen to kill her husband Raja Raghuvanshi.
It may be noted that the newlywed couple had come here from Madhya Pradesh to celebrate their honeymoon. In this regard, the police say that while trekking in the hilly area, Sonam Raghuvanshi was walking a little ahead and pretending that she was taking pictures.
Meanwhile, the hired killer stabbed her husband Raja Raghavanshi from behind. According to the police officer, one of the accused said that Sonam helped him in throwing the body in the gorge.
According to the police, a small mistake by Sonam gave the police an important clue regarding the murder plan. According to the police, she had left her mangalsutra in a hotel room in Meghalaya, due to which the police found her involvement in the murder.
Earlier, she went missing, and her husband’s body was found on June 2. However, on June 9, she surfaced in the Gazipur district of Uttar Pradesh and told a story that was unbelievable.
He claimed that he was drugged and brought to the city against his will. However, the police arrested her and her boyfriend Raj and started an investigation.
