Public Holiday announced on Iqbal Day 2026
The Government of Punjab has officially announced Monday, 9 November 2026, as a public holiday across the province of Punjab on the occasion of Allama Iqbal Day 2026. According to the notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), Government of the Punjab, dated 30 October 2026, all concerned departments have been directed to give wide publicity to this announcement through print and electronic media. The Punjab Public Holiday Notification 2026 confirms the observance of Iqbal Day throughout the province.

NOTIFICATION
No. SOW-I(SG&GAD)2-1/2026: In continuation of this Department’s Notification No. SOW-I(SG&GAD)2-1/2025 dated 19th January, 2026, it is hereby notified for general information that Monday, the 9th November, 2026 (Iqbal Day) shall be observed as a Public Holiday throughout the Province of Punjab.
2. The above notification may be published in all major English and Urdu dallies both at national and regional levels, and also be given wide publicity through electronic media.
