SCHOOL VISIT INSTRUCTIONS & GUIDELINES FOR Officers

School Education Department issued the instruction for all Officers ( CEO , DEOs , Dy. DEOs ) to visit schools. All Officers must follow these guidelines during their school visits.

Subject: INSTRUCTIONS & GUIDELINES FOR FIELD/SCHOOL VISIT.
I am directed to refer to the subject cited above. School Education Department South Punjab aims to check the quality of education with the maximum input of District Education Authorities as well as administrative officers to check the implementation of all initiatives at school level. For this purpose complete instructions/guidelines and a visit Performa is issued. All of you are advised to follow the instructions completely.

1- VISIT MANNERISM GUIDELINES



Based on general observation, input by stakeholders, and assessment by officials on attachment with School Education Department, South Punjab, it is noted that the relationship of district education authorities with school authorities is generally of a non facilitating nature. District education authorities have been known to exert authority without consideration to the self-respect of school authorities. It is hence desired that an appropriate code of conduct may be adopted where cooperation and synergy between district education authorities and school authorities can flourish. Some guidelines are as under:

  1. While entering the office/classroom please take permission from the concerned Head Teacher/Teacher and not just rush inside.
  2. Talk to the Teacher/Head Teacher politely.
  3. If something goes wrong in the classroom, talk to the teacher separately.
  4. Keep your tone soft when talking to children.
  5. Keep a smile on your face.
  6. Do not disturb the learning process in the classroom.
  7. Follow the policy of minimum disruption.

3- Keep the visit unannounced and surprise by nature.
4- Four pictures with time stamp camera must be shared along with the visit performa.
