A few hours before Eid ul Adha, Israel bombarded Beirut

Israel has once again bombed the capital of its neighbouring Arab country, Lebanon. The target of the bombing is apparently South Beirut. Israel considers it to be the centre of Hezbollah’s underground bases.

Israel has justified its latest bombing by saying that Hezbollah manufactures drones in the area. Israel claims that Hezbollah plans to build thousands of drones.

Israel chose the evening before Eid al-Adha to bomb Beirut when the people of Beirut were busy preparing for Eid al-Adha.

The Israeli army has bombed Lebanon more than once in a month, while this is the fourth time the capital Beirut has been bombed after the cease-fire made with the help of the United States of America. The ceasefire agreement was signed on 27 November 2024.

The reason for this repeated bombing by the Israeli army is the location of Hezbollah. But due to the dense population of the capital city of Beirut, there is a risk of loss of life in it.

The Israeli army is still occupying five positions in southern Lebanon. It is maintaining its military presence in these five places as part of its offensive strategy.

Both South Lebanon and East Lebanon are regularly bombarded by the Israeli army. The Lebanese government considers this bombing by Israel as a violation of Lebanese sovereignty and the ceasefire agreement, but is not in a position to stop Israel. Israel repeatedly claims that it conducts pre-emptive bombing to prevent potential attacks by Hezbollah so that Hezbollah cannot regroup.

However, after this worst bombing, Hezbollah’s immediate reaction has not come out in any case. However, an official of Hezbollah has said on the condition of not revealing his name that the Israeli claim of making drones is false. Israel in general and Netanyahu in particular want to keep neighboring countries scared. That is why the Israeli army continues to bomb.

As of April, 190 Lebanese were killed and 485 wounded in Israeli bombings after the cease-fire.
