The Office of the Chief Executive Officer (District Education Authority), Rahim Yar Khan, has issued an important notification regarding the abolishment of 1,623 vacant posts from BPS-01 to BPS-16 in the district. This notification covers various categories of vacant posts across government educational institutions in Rahim Yar Khan, including Khanpur, Liaqatpur, Sadiqabad and Rahim Yar Khan tehsils. IN CONTINUATION OF THIS OFFICE NOTIFICATION NO. CEO/DEA/RYK/11817 DATED 02.06.2026, it is hereby notified that 1,623 vacant posts from BPS-01 to BPS-16 pertaining to the District Education Authority, Rahim Yar Khan, are hereby abolished. Consequent upon the abolition of 30,394 vacant posts from BPS-01 to BPS-16 pertaining to the School Education Department and its attached departments/DEAs, vide Finance Department, Government of the Punjab, Order No. SO(SCHOOLS)14-217/2023 dated 20.04.2026, and in pursuance of the subsequent directions of the School Education Department conveyed vide Letter No. SED/PLAN/PB/O/260505/0536 dated 05.05.2026, the vacant posts of various categories falling within the jurisdiction of District Education Authority, Rahim Yar Khan, are hereby abolished with effect from 02.06.2025 and shall stand deleted from the sanctioned strength and the Budget Book for the Financial Year 2026-27.
