Subject: RE-OPENING OF SCHOOLS AFTER SUMMER VACATIONS, 2026 – PREPARATIONS FOR A SAFE, SECURE AND WELCOMING SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT
It is intimated that schools across the Punjab are scheduled to re-open on 24-08-2026 after the summer vacations. In this regard, all Heads of Institutions are directed to ensure completion of the following arrangements before the commencement of classes, as directed by the Competent Authority.
A) CLEANLINESS:
i. Cleanliness and general maintenance of the entire school premises, including classrooms, offices, corridors, washrooms, playgrounds, lawns and other areas.
ii. Proper cleaning, disinfection and functional condition of rooftops, water tanks and overhead/underground water storage tanks, with removal of stagnant water, to ensure availability of clean and safe drinking water.
iii. Cleanliness and proper condition of playgrounds, lawns and outdoor spaces, making them safe for students and staff.
iv. Areas under construction or repair within the school premises shall be properly cordoned off/barricaded to restrict access and ensure the safety of students and staff.
v. Implementation of all prescribed anti-dengue SOPs, with special focus on eliminating potential mosquito-breeding sites.
vi. School grounds, roofs and drainage channels shall be checked and cleared to prevent waterlogging, blocked drains and rainwater seepage during the monsoon season.
B) FURNITURE & MAINTENANCE:
i. Proper provision of furniture in classrooms and learning spaces, ensuring that they are properly ventilated, furnished and ready for students.
ii. All fans, lights, switches, sockets, wiring and other electrical appliances are inspected and maintained in safe working condition.
iii. Availability and functionality of clean drinking water, washrooms, sanitation facilities and other essential services.
C) SECURITY MEASURES:
i. Security arrangements in all public and private schools in accordance with the prescribed security protocols and SOPs already issued from time to time.
ii. Strict compliance with the prescribed security SOPs for A+ and A category of schools, particularly before the re-opening of classes.
TOP PRIORITY
iii. CCTV cameras and other installed security equipment shall be checked, repaired if required and made fully functional; washrooms/toilets shall likewise be verified as clean and functional before the reopening of schools.
iv. The helpline number of the School Education Department (1321) shall be displayed at conspicuous places within the school premises for reporting of any issue or complaint.
D) ACADEMIC ARRANGEMENTS:
i. Lesson plans and the scheme of studies for the new academic session shall be duly prepared, approved and made functional/operational in all schools before the commencement of classes.
E) SUPERVISORY VISITS:
i. Heads of Institutions shall conduct a final inspection of their respective school premises and ensure that all prescribed SOPs, cleanliness, security, anti-dengue measures, electrical safety, essential facilities and other pre-reopening requirements are fully completed and functional before the reopening of schools.
ii. MEAs and AEOs shall conduct physical inspections of all schools under their respective jurisdictions and verify compliance with each prescribed SOP and reopening requirement.
iii. CEOs (DEAs) shall be responsible for devising a formula whereby their subordinate formations, i.e. DEOs, Deputy DEOs, AEOs and MEAs, physically inspect 100% of schools and report any deficiencies noticed for immediate rectification.
2. All CEOs (DEAs) are further directed to comply with the above instructions in true letter and spirit, and to ensure their dissemination at all levels for strict compliance. Any negligence, delay or non-compliance shall be viewed seriously.
3. THIS MAY BE TREATED AS A TOP PRIORITY.

موضوع: موسمِ گرما کی تعطیلات 2026 کے بعد سکولوں کا دوبارہ کھولا جانا — محفوظ، پُرامن اور خوش آئند سکول ماحول کے لیے انتظامات
یہ مطلع کیا جاتا ہے کہ پنجاب بھر کے سکول موسمِ گرما کی تعطیلات کے بعد 24-08-2026 کو دوبارہ کھولے جانے مقرر ہیں۔ اس سلسلے میں تمام سربراہانِ ادارہ کو مجاز اتھارٹی کی ہدایات کے مطابق کلاسز کے آغاز سے قبل درج ذیل انتظامات کی تکمیل یقینی بنانے کی ہدایت کی جاتی ہے۔
A) صفائی ستھرائی:
i. سکول کے تمام احاطے کی صفائی اور عمومی دیکھ بھال یقینی بنائی جائے، جس میں کلاس رومز، دفاتر، راہداریاں، واش رومز، کھیل کے میدان، لان اور دیگر تمام مقامات شامل ہیں۔
ii. چھتوں، پانی کی ٹینکیوں اور اوور ہیڈ/زیرِ زمین پانی ذخیرہ کرنے والی ٹینکیوں کی مناسب صفائی، جراثیم کشی اور فعال حالت یقینی بنائی جائے۔ صاف اور محفوظ پینے کے پانی کی دستیابی کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے کھڑا پانی ختم کیا جائے۔
iii. کھیل کے میدانوں، لان اور بیرونی مقامات کی صفائی اور مناسب حالت کو یقینی بنایا جائے تاکہ وہ طلبہ اور عملے کے لیے محفوظ رہیں۔
iv. سکول کے احاطے میں زیرِ تعمیر یا مرمت کے زیرِ عمل علاقوں کو مناسب طور پر گھیرے میں لیا جائے/رکاوٹیں لگائی جائیں تاکہ وہاں رسائی محدود ہو اور طلبہ و عملے کی حفاظت یقینی بنائی جا سکے۔
v. تمام مقررہ انسدادِ ڈینگی SOPs پر عمل درآمد یقینی بنایا جائے، بالخصوص مچھروں کی افزائش کے ممکنہ مقامات کے خاتمے پر خصوصی توجہ دی جائے۔
vi. مون سون کے موسم کے دوران پانی جمع ہونے، نالیاں بند ہونے اور بارش کے پانی کے رساؤ کو روکنے کے لیے سکول کے گراؤنڈز، چھتوں اور نکاسیٔ آب کی نالیوں کو چیک کرکے صاف کیا جائے۔
B) فرنیچر اور دیکھ بھال:
i. کلاس رومز اور تعلیمی مقامات میں مناسب فرنیچر کی فراہمی یقینی بنائی جائے، اور اس امر کو یقینی بنایا جائے کہ یہ مقامات مناسب ہوا دار، فرنیچر سے آراستہ اور طلبہ کے لیے مکمل طور پر تیار ہوں۔
ii. تمام پنکھوں، لائٹس، سوئچز، ساکٹس، وائرنگ اور دیگر برقی آلات کا معائنہ کیا جائے اور انہیں محفوظ اور قابلِ استعمال حالت میں برقرار رکھا جائے۔
iii. صاف پینے کے پانی، واش رومز، صفائی ستھرائی کی سہولیات اور دیگر ضروری خدمات کی دستیابی اور فعال حالت یقینی بنائی جائے۔
C) سکیورٹی اقدامات:
i. تمام سرکاری اور نجی سکولوں میں پہلے سے وقتاً فوقتاً جاری کردہ مقررہ سکیورٹی پروٹوکولز اور SOPs کے مطابق سکیورٹی انتظامات یقینی بنائے جائیں۔
ii. A+ اور A کیٹیگری کے سکولوں کے لیے مقررہ سکیورٹی SOPs پر سختی سے عمل درآمد کیا جائے، بالخصوص کلاسز کے دوبارہ آغاز سے قبل۔

iii. CCTV کیمروں اور دیگر نصب شدہ سکیورٹی آلات کو چیک کیا جائے، ضرورت پڑنے پر ان کی مرمت کی جائے اور انہیں مکمل طور پر فعال بنایا جائے۔ اسی طرح سکولوں کے واش رومز/ٹوائلٹس کی صفائی اور فعال حالت کی بھی دوبارہ جانچ کی جائے۔
iv. سکول ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی ہیلپ لائن نمبر (1321) کو سکول کے احاطے میں نمایاں مقامات پر آویزاں کیا جائے تاکہ کسی بھی مسئلے یا شکایت کی اطلاع دی جا سکے۔
D) تعلیمی انتظامات:
i. نئے تعلیمی سیشن کے لیے سبق کے منصوبہ جات (Lesson Plans) اور سکیم آف سٹڈیز (Scheme of Studies) تمام سکولوں میں کلاسز کے آغاز سے قبل باقاعدہ طور پر تیار، منظور اور قابلِ عمل بنائی جائے۔
E) نگرانی کے لیے دورے:
i. سربراہانِ ادارہ اپنے متعلقہ سکول کے احاطے کا حتمی معائنہ کریں اور اس امر کو یقینی بنائیں کہ تمام مقررہ SOPs، صفائی ستھرائی، سکیورٹی، انسدادِ ڈینگی اقدامات، برقی تحفظ، ضروری سہولیات اور سکول دوبارہ کھولنے سے قبل دیگر تمام مطلوبہ انتظامات مکمل اور فعال حالت میں ہوں۔
ii. MEAs اور AEOs اپنے متعلقہ دائرۂ اختیار میں آنے والے تمام سکولوں کا عملی معائنہ کریں گے اور ہر مقررہ SOP اور سکول دوبارہ کھولنے سے متعلق تقاضوں پر عمل درآمد کی تصدیق کریں گے۔
iii. CEOs (DEAs) اس امر کے ذمہ دار ہوں گے کہ ایسا طریقۂ کار وضع کریں جس کے تحت ان کے ماتحت افسران و ادارے، یعنی DEOs، ڈپٹی DEOs، AEOs اور MEAs، 100 فیصد سکولوں کا عملی معائنہ کریں اور سامنے آنے والی کسی بھی کمی کی فوری اصلاح کے لیے رپورٹ کریں۔
2. تمام CEOs (DEAs) کو مزید ہدایت کی جاتی ہے کہ وہ مذکورہ بالا ہدایات پر مکمل طور پر، ان کے اصل مفہوم اور روح کے مطابق عمل درآمد یقینی بنائیں اور سختی سے تعمیل کے لیے انہیں تمام سطحوں تک پہنچائیں۔ کسی بھی قسم کی غفلت، تاخیر یا عدمِ تعمیل کو انتہائی سنجیدگی سے لیا جائے گا۔
