Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Operation in Karachi: 2 Suspects Arrested, Weapons Recovered

In a targeted intelligence-based operation, Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) carried out successful raids in Karachi’s Manzoor Colony and Lucky Star Saddar areas. According to official sources, two suspects were arrested, and a cache of illegal weapons was recovered during the operation. The move is part of ongoing efforts to curb street crimes, gang activities, and illegal arms trade in the city. Law enforcement agencies continue their zero-tolerance campaign to maintain peace and security across Karachi.

KARACHI, November 8, 2025:
In a major intelligence-based operation, Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) have arrested two suspects involved in the illegal sale and purchase of weapons during coordinated raids conducted in Manzoor Colony and Lucky Star Saddar, Karachi.

According to an official Rangers statement, the arrested individuals — identified as Rashid Mehmood Awan and Haji Banu Khan Wasan — were taken into custody following credible intelligence reports about an illegal arms trade network operating in the city.

🟨 Large Cache of Illegal Weapons Seized

During the operation, Rangers personnel recovered a significant quantity of illegal firearms and ammunition, including:

  • Several 30-bore pistols
  • Multiple 9mm pistols
  • A 5.56mm rifle

20 assorted magazines, 45 pistol pouches, 10 ammunition pouches, 45 ammunition belts, 10 rifle covers, and five security guard uniforms

Authorities also seized numerous weapon parts, 177 arms licenses, 302 national identity cards, and various electronic devices, including five mobile phones and one computer system used for document forgery.

🟩 Fake Arms Licenses and Forgery Network Uncovered

During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to producing approximately 900 counterfeit arms licenses using forged government seals.
Rangers officials confirmed that relevant agencies are now working to verify the authenticity of all seized documents and trace additional members of the network believed to be involved in forgery and illegal arms trade.

🟨 Further Investigations Underway

Both suspects, along with the recovered weapons and materials, have been handed over to police for further legal proceedings. Rangers sources added that operations are continuing to track down their accomplices and dismantle the entire network behind the illegal arms activity.

The Sindh Rangers spokesperson has urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious criminal activity to the nearest Rangers check post, via the Rangers Helpline (1101), or through the Rangers Madadgar WhatsApp number (0347-9001111).
Officials assured that all information will be treated with strict confidentiality, reaffirming the force’s commitment to maintaining peace, law, and order across Karachi.
