A spell of dry and cold weather has spread across most parts of Pakistan, while the intensity of cold has sharply increased in northern and mountainous regions. Meanwhile, Punjab continues to face the challenge of smog due to dry conditions and declining air quality.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), most regions will remain dry in the coming days. However, temperatures are expected to drop significantly in high-altitude areas, increasing the intensity of cold across northern Pakistan.

🔹 Smog Situation in Punjab

Meteorologists have warned of increasing smog levels across parts of Punjab, including Lahore, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala. The dry spell and low wind activity are contributing to poor air quality, raising health concerns among residents.

Authorities have urged citizens to take precautionary measures, such as wearing masks outdoors and limiting exposure to polluted air, particularly during morning and evening hours.
