UN appeals for restraint, and calls Israel’s “Rising Line” operation a preemptive strike against the nuclear threat.

The Israeli military announced on Friday that its airstrikes had severely damaged the underground centrifuges at Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility. This attack was part of several air operations that Israel carried out in different locations in Iran.

According to the Israeli military statement, “the underground part of Natanz, which housed several floors of uranium enrichment facilities, centrifuges, electrical rooms and other basic infrastructure, was damaged.

The military added that the strike also targeted a key installation that not only sustains Natanz’s activities but also helps advance Iran’s nuclear program towards weapons.

Earlier, Israeli Channel 12 reported that the Natanz nuclear facility was completely destroyed in an Israeli airstrike. Iranian state TV also confirmed this, saying that Natanz, the main uranium enrichment facility in the center of the country, had been hit by airstrikes several times.

Videos aired on Iranian TV showed clouds of smoke rising from the facilities and said explosions were heard in Natanz on Friday morning. New explosions were also reported at the Natanz nuclear facility in the Iranian province of Isfahan.
