لیبیا کے قریب دو بحری جہاز ڈُوبنے سے پاکستانیوں سمیت 60 تارکینِ وطن کی ہلاکت کا خدشہ
گذشتہ ہفتے لیبیا کے ساحل پر دو بحری جہازوں کے تباہ ہونے سے پاکستانیوں اور مصریوں سمیت کم سے کم 60 تارکینِ وطن کی ہلاکت کا خدشہ ہے۔
فرانسیسی خبر رساں ایجنسی اے ایف پی نے انٹرنیشنل آرگنائزیشن فار مائیگریشن کے حوالے سے بتایا ہے کہ پہلا جہاز 12 جُون کو طرابلس میں لیبیا کی ایک بندرگاہ کے قریب ڈُوب گیا تھا۔
اس جہاز کے حادثے میں خواتین اور بچوں سمیت 21 افراد لاپتا جبکہ صرف پانچ زندہ بچ گئے تھے۔ جو افراد اس حادثے میں لاپتا ہوئے وہ پاکستان، اریٹیریا، مصر اور سوڈان سے تعلق رکھتے تھے۔
انٹرنیشنل آرگنائزیشن فار مائیگریشن کے مطابق دوسرا جہاز تبروک شہر سے 35 کلومیٹر (20 میل) دُور تباہ ہوا جس میں 39 افراد سمندر کی لہروں میں بہہ گئے جبکہ صرف ایک شخص زندہ بچا۔
تنظیم کے علاقائی ڈائریکٹر برائے مشرق وسطیٰ اور شمالی افریقہ عثمان بیلبیسی کا کہنا ہے کہ ’ان دونوں حادثات میں متعدد افراد کے ہلاک ہونے کا خدشہ ہے جس کی وجہ سے ان کے اہلِ خانہ غمزدہ ہیں۔‘
انہوں ںے مزید کہا کہ ’انٹرنیشنل آرگنائزیشن فار مائیگریشن ایک بار پھر بین الاقوامی برادری پر زور دیتی ہے کہ وہ تلاش اور ریسکیو کی کارروائیوں میں تیزی لائے اور زندہ بچ جانے والے افراد کو بحفاظت باہر آنے کی ضمانت دی جائے۔‘
اقوام متحدہ کے ہائی کمیشن برائے مہاجرین کے مطابق ’رواں برس اب تک کم سے کم 743 افراد بحیرہ روم کو عبور کر کے یورپ پہنچنے کی کوشش میں اپنی جانوں سے ہاتھ دھو بیٹھے ہیں۔‘
بیان میں مزید کہا گیا ہے کہ ’اس پُرخطر سمندری راستے پر انسانی سمگلنگ کے خطرناک طریقوں میں اضافہ دیکھنے میں آیا ہے جبکہ یہاں ریسکیو کی صلاحیت بھی محدود ہے۔‘
اقوام متحدہ کے ہائی کمشنر برائے مہاجرین کا کہنا ہے کہ ’15 جُون تک اٹلی کے ساحل پر تارکینِ وطن کی آمد میں ہر سال 15 فیصد اضافہ ہوا ہے، ان تارکین میں اکثریت لیبیا سے تعلق رکھتی ہے۔

Last week, the destruction of two ships on the Libyan coast is feared to kill at least 60 migrants, including Pakistanis and Egyptians.
French news agency AFP quoted the International Organization for Migration as saying that the first ship was dropped near a Libyan port in Tripoli on June 12.
In the crash of the ship, 21 people, including women and children, were missing while only five survived. Those who were missing in the accident were from Pakistan, Eritrea, Egypt and Sudan.
According to the International Organization for Migration, the second ship was destroyed 35 km (20 miles) from the city of Tabrook, with 39 people flowing into the waves of the sea while only one person survived.
The organization’s regional director for the Middle East and North Africa Usman Belbie says that “both of these accidents are feared to kill several people, which makes their families sad.”
He added that “the International Organization for Migration once again urges the international community to accelerate search and rescue operations and guarantee survivors to come out safely.”
According to the UN High Commission for Refugees, “so far this year, at least 743 people have lost their lives in an attempt to cross the Mediterranean to Europe.”
The statement added that “there has been an increase in dangerous human trafficking methods on this dangerous sea, while rescue capacity is limited here.”
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees says that the arrival of migrants on the coast of Italy has increased by 15 % every year, with the majority of these migrants belonging to Libya.
