Equivalence of Master of Technology Education (MTE)

In pursuance of the decision of the Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee (QEDC), in its meeting held on 04.09.2026, it is hereby notified that the course contents of Master of Technology Education (MTE) (16 years of Education / Level-6) have equivalence with those of the following qualifications:

• MA Education
• M.Ed.
• BS Science Education
• BS Technology Education
• BS (Hons) Education
• BS STEM
• B.Ed. (04-Years; all specializations)
• 16 years of Education / Level-6

Equivalence of MA English Language Teaching and Linguistics (ELTL)

The notification further states that MA English Language Teaching and Linguistics (ELTL) (16 years of education / Level-6) has equivalence with the following qualifications:

• MA Education
• M.Ed.
• BS Science Education
• BS Technology Education
• BS (Hons) Education
• BS STEM
• B.Ed. (04 years; all specializations)
• BS TESOL
• 16 years of education / Level-6

Equivalence Issued for Promotion

The notification makes it clear that these equivalences are issued for the purpose of promotion, with immediate effect.

This means that the qualifications covered by the notification are to be treated as equivalent for the specified promotion purposes, subject to the applicable service rules and requirements.

Decision of Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee (QEDC)
