Where is the Asia Cup trophy right now, and how can India get it?

It’s been over three weeks since India won the Asia Cup, yet the team still hasn’t received their victory trophy.

India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the final match held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium to claim the Asia Cup 2025 title. However, controversy arose after the match when the Indian team refused to receive the trophy from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi.

According to multiple reports, the Asia Cup trophy is still kept at the ACC headquarters in Dubai. Mohsin Naqvi has instructed that the trophy should not be taken out of the office without his explicit permission.

The issue is expected to be discussed at the ACC’s annual meeting in early November, which will take place alongside the ICC’s quarterly meetings in Dubai.

In the previous meeting, it was decided that the five Test-playing ACC member nations – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan – would work together to find a mutual resolution.

However, if no consensus is reached in Naqvi’s absence during the upcoming meeting, the trophy dispute will remain unresolved, and it will continue to stay at the ACC office.
