For Public Schools of Punjab, The School Education Department issue notification for Key performance indicators to check the performance of Govt. Schools. The performance of public schools will measure with help of these indicators in Punjab.
NOTIFICATION OF KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) BY THE ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENTS UNDER CIVIL ADMINISTRATION ACT. 2017
Your kind and immediate attention is invited to Government of the Punjab, School Education Department vide letter No. DD/(M)/Tree Plantation/2024 dated 19-03-2024 addressed to you and copy as well as this Directorate on the subject cited above. Competent Authority has notified following KPIs concerning school Education Department to operationalization of Civil Administration Act, 2017 for strict compliance.

| 4. | ii. Overall maintenance of school in each financial year. | ||
| 5. | V. Conduct of School Council meeting once a month. | ||
| 6. | vi. Allocation of 06 sports periods in school timetable. | ||
| 7. | vii. Plantation of a tree by every student in the school during each academic year. | ||
| 8. | VIII. Ensure that average student retention is a least85%. | ||
| 9. | IX. Availability of at least 1 ramp for the disabled persons. |
You are, therefore, hereby directed to implement on the above said Government directions in true letter and spirit.
