Eligibility for BS Programs

Minimum 60% in both Matriculation/ 0-level (Science) and Intermediate/ A-level.
Pre Engineering mandatory for all BS Engineering Disciplines.
Pre Medical students can also apply for BS Computer & Information Sciences and BS Physics.
Candidates with Pre-Medical background, who have taken Mathematics as additional subject, are also eligible.
Students awaiting their final result, but expecting to secure required percentage of marks may also apply.
Selection shall be made strictly on merit determined by:
PIEAS Admission Test: 60% I • Matric: 15%
F.Sc. or F.Sc. (Part I): 25%
O-Level /A-Level: 40% of 0-Level equivalence from IBCC
OR
Admission on the basis of SAT and ACT scores. The PIEAS institutional
Code to receive SAT is 7272 and the institutional code of ACT 3783.
SAT-II result of three subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics level-I I). A minimum score of 2000 is required.
The ACT composite score should be at least 25 or more to be eligible for admission.
SAT-II/ ACT scores must reach Registrar, PIEAS, latest by July 05, 2023.
PIEAS also offers admission to members of Olympiad teams (selected under STEM career program) in its BS Programs without any entrance test.

MS Programs

Admission is open to the 18 MS Programs at PIEAS, KINPOE-C, N I BGE-C, NILOP-C and NIAB-C at fellowship and/ or regular fee basis.
MS Programs at PIEAS are ideally suitable for those candidates, who want to pursue careers in higher education and research and development.

Eligibility for MS Programs

All Pakistani nationals with the required qualification.
Preferably first class academic career. However, one second division (? 50% marks) is allowed except in the final degree. In case of semester system, a CGPA 2.5 out of 4 in the final degree is required.
Candidates having BS (4-year) / MSc in Computer Science, Geology must have studied Physics and Mathematics at undergraduate level.
Candidates expecting completion of their degree requirements by the 31″ December 2023 may also apply.
Age limit: There is no age limit for admission on regular fee basis. However, for fellowships the age limit is 32 years for MBBS Doctors and 27 years for all other disciplines as on June 30, 2023.
Merit will be determined by PIEAS Admission Test and Interview.

How to Apply?

After advertisement in National Daily newspapers, the aspiring applicants shall visit PIEAS admission website http://admissions.pieas.edu.pk for updated information and to access PIEAS Admission Portal.
An applicant shall create an account (against his/ her CNIC) on PIEAS admissions web portal and fill application form data online.
There shall be no application form available for download and to be filled handwritten. No application shall be entertained in hard copy form.

Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Offers Fellowships for Engineers, Scientists and Medical Doctors

Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) and some other government departments offer a fellowship to MS students at PIEAS and KINPOE-C:

A stipend of Rs. 35000/- (approx.) per month with tuition fee-waiver
Free indoor medical treatment.
Fellow students have to pledge a bond to serve PAEC/ Organizations/ Govt. Departments for 5 years after completion of their degree.
Appointment after completion of studies in SPS-8.

Around 150 fellowships for MS studies are available on competitive basis.

IT Endowment Fund Scholarships for MS Computer Science/Cyber Security Programs at PIEAS:

A stipend of Rs. 28,000/- per month for MS & Rs. 35,000/- for PhD.
Students have to pledge a bond to serve the country for 5 years after completion of their degree.

PhD Programs

PIEAS has a well-established PhD Program in the major disciplines of engineering and applied sciences being pursued at the institute.

Formal education of 18 years (MS or equivalent) with minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 in the semester system or 1st division in the annual system and for 16 years education (BS or equivalent) having minimum CGPA of 2.5/4.0 in semester system or 1st division in annual system.
Subject GRE (International) / GAT-Subject test conducted by NTS as per HEC requirements. If GAT subject is not available in a specific field, then student has to appear in PIEAS admission test.
HEC scholarship holders can apply.
Serving applicants should apply through proper channel with provision of NOC from their employers.
PhD candidates can apply at any time after qualifying subject test.
Final selection will be made after a thorough Interview of the eligible candidates.
Few Scholarships from Endowment Fund for PhD are available in IT related fields.
