This document from the Government of Punjab’s School Education Department, dated August 23rd, 2025, addresses the practice of presenting bouquets during official visits:
- The Secretary of the School Education Department has discouraged the practice of presenting bouquets during official visits.
- No bouquets are to be presented to the Secretary during official visits.
- The funds previously spent on bouquets should instead be used for the welfare and well-being of students in the respective schools/districts.
These instructions are to be strictly followed.

SUBJECT: INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING PRESENTATIONS OF A BOUQUET DURING OFFICIAL VISITS
I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to state that it has been observed that during the official visits of the Secretary, School Education Department, the Chief Executive Officers (DEAs) and school administration present bouquets. The Secretary, School Education Department has discouraged this practice.
2. I am further directed to state that no bouquet shall be presented to the Secretary, School Education Department during his official visits. Instead, the amount which is incurred on such presentations may be utilized for the welfare and well-being of students in the respective schools/districts.
3. The above instructions be complied with in true letter and spirit.
