Subject TEACHING OF Naazrah Holy Quran (Grade I-V) and Translation of the Holy Quran (Grade VI – XII) under the provisions of the Punjab COMPULSORY TEACHING OF THE HOLY DURAN (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2021 (ACT XIV of 2021)
The Punjab Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran Act, 2018 (Act XVIII of 2018) entails that teaching of the Holy Quran is compulsory for Muslim students in all educational institutions (Public Sector / Private Sector / Deeni Madaris) in Punjab.
2. Whereas, The Punjab Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran (Amendment) AC, 2021 (Act XIV of 2021) binds the teaching of the Holy Quran as a separate compulsory subject for Muslim students in all educational Institutions in Punjab, accordingly, Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) revised the Scheme of Studies for “Teaching of Holy Quran Naazrah” on 23.06.2021 and included the subject of “Naazrah Quran” in Grades 1-11 as a separate compulsory subject as per following Schedule:
