Punjab all Schools Closed from 10–31 March 2026 due to energy crisis

Punjab schools closed March 2026 notification has been officially issued by the Punjab Government. According to the School Education Department, all public and private schools across Punjab will remain closed from 10 March 2026 to 31 March 2026 due to the prevailing emergency situation. However, board examinations will be conducted as per the previously announced schedule while institutions may continue online classes to maintain the academic process.

NO. SO(ACAD-1)1-31/2026. In view of the prevailing emergency situation and to ensure the safety and convenience of students and staff, the Government of Punjab has decided that all Public & Private schools across the province of Punjab shall remain closed from 10.03.2026 to 31.03.2026.

2. During this period, only Board Examinations will be conducted as per the already announced schedule. All other school based assessments, and examinations stand cancelled. However, schools may continue online classes to ensure continuity of the academic process.

3. All Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), District Education Authorities in Punjab, shall ensure strict compliance accordingly.

According to the School Education Department Punjab, all public and private schools in Punjab will remain closed from 10 March 2026 to 31 March 2026 due to the prevailing emergency situation. According to the official notification issued on 9 March 2026, the closure will apply to all government and private educational institutions operating under the School Education Department. However, the government has clarified that board examinations will continue as per the previously announced schedule.
