Remote Area Schools Become Challenge as PEF Returns 27 in DG Khan

PEF schools returned in Dera Ghazi Khan after Punjab Education Foundation handed back 27 partner schools to the Punjab government. Authorities have issued orders to deploy STI teachers or surplus teachers so that students in remote areas of Dera Ghazi Khan can continue receiving education without disruption.

FUNCTIONING OF 27 RESTORED OUTSOURCED SCHOOLS DISTRICT D.G. KHAN

In compliance with the directions of the School Education Department Punjab Lahore vide letter No.SO(ER-II)2-1/2025 dated 13.02.2026, wherein the Special Secretary, School Education Department has taken a decision regarding outsourced schools and directed that the same be implemented in letter and spirit.

According to the said decision, the following 27 schools which were not functional and returned by PEF, have now been restored and handed over to District Education Authority Dera Ghazi Khan to be run the same by STI/surplus teachers. (Copy enclosed).

In this regard, you are hereby directed to take over the said schools immediately and ensure that they are made functional through temporary adjustment of surplus teachers. So that the schools may operate smoothly under the supervision of the District Education Authority. The compliance report must be submitted to this office within two days positively.
