After receiving many complaints from South Punjab Dr. Ehtsham Anwar issued a letter regarding the Security measure in Public Sector Schools. According to this letter a Head of institution , Chokidar and Clerk will present in school and look after the schools assets of Schools. The CCTV cameras must be active and in working order. The Recording of Security Cameras must be available on Demand.

Subject: SAFETY AND SECURITY OF SCHOOL, ASSETS AND Other MEASURES DURING SUMMER VACATIONS
Summer vacations in Govt. Schools have been started. Keeping in view the activities to be performed during summer vacations, following instructions must be followed in true spirit:

  1. Head Teacher, Clerk and Class IV employees will remain present in the school.

  2. Head Teacher must ensure the presence of chowkidar in school after school hours.

  3. The head teacher must keep cell phones “switched on” and they must respond the calls of the higher authorities.

  4. Head Teacher and clerk will maintain all registers and school record during vacations.

  5. Maintenance of building, repairing of furniture and electrical appliances will he made.

  6. Watering to plants, playgrounds and cutting of grass will be performed regularly.

  7. School grounds must be leveled, Grassy, and maintained.

  8. Dengue activities will be performed as per already issued directions / SOPs.

  9. Cleanliness of school, roof tops, ceiling fans and water storage tank etc. will he ensured.

  10. Moon Soon season (Rainy season) will start in July, therefore the roof of building must he cleaned and remove debris, dry leafs and twigs etc. and keep the water channel opened.

  11. Keep the Security (CCTV) cameras functional and ensure the recording of videos.

  12. Provide the powerful torch light to chowkidar for watching at night.

  13. All lights of school building will be functional during night and install powerful lights

    cover large area of school.

  14. In case of any theft or damage to the School property, the [lead Teacher and chowkidar

    will be held personally responsible / answerable.

  15. The CEO (DEAs), District Education Officers (SE) in South Punjab are directed to occasionally visit the schools in their relevant district and make sure the implementation of above instructions in true letter and spirit.
