Subject: EXTENSION IN CONTRACT PERIOD OF SCHOOL GUARDS

Apropos the subject:
It is intimated that school guard (BS-1) were recruited in A-Category Schools for security measures aftermath of incident occurred in Army Public School Peshawar for contract period of 5 years in the light of recruitment policy issued vide No. SO (SE-IV) 2-13/2014 dated 18.03.2015 by the Govt. of Punjab, School Education Department. Lahore.
It is pertinent to mention here that the contract period of their services is going to be expired after completion of 5 years After that there is no policy for School Guards under the provision of Punjab Regularization of Service Act-2018 amended 2019. As and when policy framed by the Govt. cases of school guards will be considered accordingly.
I am directed to request you to direct the Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) who are working under your jurisdiction for making extensions in their contract for the period of one year subject to considering their good/satisfactory performance and conduct according to the terms and conditions laid down in their letter of agreement.

Note: All the DDOs are directed to please mention their designation as School Guard instead of S.G. in all correspondence and school record as well.
