حکومت پنجاب کی طرف سے سردیوں کے موسم میں پڑنے والی سموگ کے لیے احتیاطی تدابیر کا نوٹیفکیشن جاری کر دے گے اس نوٹیفکیشن کے مطابق تمام سرکاری اور پرائیویٹ سکول کو سنوار والے دن سے سکولوں میں مارننگ اسمبلی نہیں کروائیں گے اور تمام بچے ڈائریکٹ کلاسوں میں چلے جائیں گے حکومت کی طرف سے اس پر سختی سے عمل کرنے کا حکم دیا گیا ہے اس کے علاوہ سکولوں میں ہونے والی تمام اؤٹ ڈور ایکٹیویٹیز کو ختم کر دیا گیا ہے

سخت سموک کے دنوں میں تمام کلاس روم کی ونڈو بند رکھی جائے گی اور کلاس روم میں وینٹیلیشن کا مناسب انتظام کیا جائے گا اس کے علاوہ کلاسوں کی صفائی کے دوران بچوں کو دھول اور مٹی سے دور رکھا جائے گا تمام سکول ایڈز کوشش کریں گے کہ کلاس روم کی صفائی سکول کھلنے سے پہلے مکمل کر لی جائے سکول کھلنے کے دوران کسی بھی صفائی کا کام کروانے مکمل ممانعت ہے صفائی کے دوران اڑنے والی مٹی بچوں کی صحت کے لیے انتہائی نقصان دہ ہے تمام سکول ہیڈز اس کو نوٹ کر لیں۔

Classroom Management & Waste Disposal: School heads must ensure clean and ventilated classrooms with closed windows and doors during peak smog days, and strictly prohibit the burning of litter or waste within school premises.

Health Monitoring & Coordination: Schools must maintain emergency health records for students with respiratory or cardiac conditions, teachers are to be vigilant for signs of distress, and focal persons are to be nominated in each district for coordination with health authorities.

Reporting & Monitoring: Schools are required to submit links to their social media platforms showcasing awareness activities and provide details of the district focal person, along with weekly implementation reports to the designated office.

SUBJECT: PRECAUTIONARY ACTIONS FOR PROTECTION OF STUDENTS DURING SMOG SEASON

Kindly refer to the subject cited above.

2. The smog period is imminent in Punjab and is expected to intensify in the coming days. This seasonal phenomenon poses significant health risks, particularly to school-going children. In this regard, you are directed to ensure strict implementation of precautionary and mitigation measures in all schools under your jurisdiction. The following instructions must be implemented in true letter and spirit:

i. Launch awareness campaigns for students, teachers and parents on the health hazards of smog and preventive measures such as mask usage, maintaining hydration, reduced outdoor exposure, and care for children with asthma or other respiratory issues. These campaigns must be visible on your official social media platforms. Share the links of your official social media platforms with this office, clearly depicting awareness activities in the form of quality images, videos, and other related content.

il. Suspend all outdoor activities including assemblies, sports, and physical training during smog days.

iii. Instruct School Heads to keep classrooms clean and properly ventilated, ensuring windows and doors remain closed during peak smog days.

iv. Ensure that no litter or waste is burnt within school premises under any circumstances. Proper waste disposal arrangements must be followed.

v. Maintain emergency health records of students with respiratory or cardiac conditions, and instruct teachers to remain vigilant for any signs of distress.

vi. Nominate focal persons in each district to coordinate with district health authorities and provide immediate assistance in case of emergencies.

vii. Monitor the Air Quality Index (AQI) daily at the district level and issue timely guidance to schools during smog days.

viii. Submit the links of your official social media platforms depicting awareness activities, along with the name, designation, WhatsApp number, and email address of the district focal person, as well as a detailed repert on the implementation of the aforementioned measures, to this office at ddm2.cmmf@gmail.com by Monday dated 05-10-25. Thereafter, weekly implementation reports shall be submitted regularly on every Friday.

3. Your personal oversight and proactive engagement in this matter will De critical in protecting the health and wellbeing of our children during the smog season.
