Punjab Announces Winter School Timings 2025–26 for All Public Schools

The Government of the Punjab, School Education Department, has officially notified / announced the new winter school timings for all public schools across Punjab, effective October 27, 2025, to April 15, 2026. This decision aims to ensure comfort for students and teachers during the colder months while maintaining academic efficiency.
According to the notification issued on October 26, 2025, by Khalid Nazir Wattoo (PAS), Secretary School Education Department, the revised timings will be applicable to both single-shift and double-shift (morning/evening) schools.

Official Instructions:
All Chief Executive Officers (DEAs) in Punjab are directed to ensure strict compliance with the new winter timings. However, DEAs are authorized to make a 15-minute adjustment in the opening and closing times for boys’ and girls’ schools if necessary.
