MONITORING OF PUBLIC SECTOR SCHOOLS AND SUBMISSION OF MONITORINGNISIT REPORTS BY ASSISTANT EDUCATION OFFICERS AS PER NOTIFIED JOB DESCRIPTIONs.

I am directed to state that It has been observed with grave concern that the Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) working in your respective districts have not been regularly visiting public sector schools as per their notified job descriptions vide letter dated 12.09.2017. (Copy enclosed) It is also added here that vide this department’s notification dated 03.08.2020 (Copy enclosed), inspection allowance was granted to AEOs for regular visits and submission of monitoring / visit reports against the indicators mention in the above said notification.

I am further directed to state that the Competent Authority has taken a serious view of lack of regular monitoring visits and submission of reports by the AEOs. Keeping the above in view, you are requested to submit report by 30.12.2024 of those AEOs who had been withdrawing inspection allowance without carrying out regular monitoring visits and submission of reports on dash board (portal).
