Establishment of Book Banks in Public Schools of Punjab

Govt decided to make a book Bank in different schools of the Punjab. In public sector schools, Government Provide new books to each student. Every year all the books went to waste. So this the good decision by Punjab Govt. to recollection these books and recollect them. This system of book bank will work under the Exchange Formula. When the student returned old books than he / She get the books of new class.

ESTABLISMENT OF BOOK BANKS IN PUBLIC SECTOR SCHOOLS

I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to enclose herewith decisions made by the Provincial Cabinet in its meeting held on 10.01.2021 with the direction to establish book banks in the schools of your respective district. It is intimated that efforts should be made to retain maximum number of Free Text Books in schools from passed out students. Retained books may then be distributed among new students.

2. Therefore, you are further directed to keep note of heads of schools who retain a higher percentage of textbooks.
